# Inviting Members

> Invite teammates to your organization and give them access to the workspaces they need.

Adding someone to CallVault is a two-step process: first invite them to the organization, then add them to the specific workspaces they should have access to. Both steps happen from **People** in the sidebar.

## Step 1: Invite to the organization

1. Go to **People → Pending Invites**
2. Click **Invite** (organization invite)
3. Enter their email address
4. Choose their organization role: **Member** (can view all calls) or **Admin** (can manage members)
5. Click **Send invite**

The person will receive an email with a link to accept the invitation and set up their account. If they already have a CallVault account, accepting the invite will add them to your organization.

<Note>
  Inviting someone to the organization doesn't automatically give them access to any workspaces — that's a separate step.
</Note>

## Step 2: Add to workspaces

Once the person has accepted their org invite (or if you want to pre-configure access before they accept):

1. Go to **People → Members**
2. Pick the workspace you want to add them to
3. Click **Invite**
4. Search for the person by name or email
5. Choose their workspace role: **Member**, **Contributor**, or **Admin**
6. Click **Add**

Some invite screens let you check several workspaces at once and set a default role for all of them, overriding the role per workspace if needed — so you don't always have to repeat this one workspace at a time.

## Pending invitations

If someone hasn't accepted their invite yet, their status will show as **Pending** under **People → Pending Invites**, which lists both organization invites and workspace invites separately. You can:

* **Resend** the invitation email if they didn't receive it
* **Cancel/Revoke** the invitation if you sent it to the wrong address

## Removing a member

To remove someone from your organization:

1. Go to **People → Pending Invites** or **People → Members**
2. Find the member and click **Remove**

This removes them from the organization and from all workspaces. It does not delete any calls or content they created.

To remove someone from a single workspace without removing them from the org:

1. Go to **People → Members**
2. Pick the workspace
3. Click the **⋯** next to their name and select **Remove from workspace**

## Changing a member's role

You can update someone's org-level role or workspace-level role at any time from **People → Members** or **People → Pending Invites**. Changes take effect immediately.
