# People

> Contacts, members, and invitations — all the people connected to your CallVault organization, in one place.

**People** brings together everyone connected to your CallVault organization — the external contacts who show up in your calls, and the internal teammates who have access to CallVault itself — in one page.

## Contacts vs. members

These are two different kinds of "people" in CallVault, and it's worth keeping them distinct:

<CardGroup cols={2}>
  <Card title="Contacts" icon="address-book">
    People who appear as **participants on your calls** — clients, customers, leads, or anyone else you talk to. Contacts don't have CallVault accounts; they're derived automatically from call attendee data.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Members" icon="user-plus">
    People with a **CallVault account** who can log in, view calls, and use the product — your teammates. See [Inviting Members](/collaboration/inviting-members).
  </Card>
</CardGroup>

## Contacts

CallVault automatically creates a contact record the first time someone appears as a participant on one of your calls. Each contact tracks:

* **Name and email**
* **Type** — Client, Customer, Lead, or Other
* **Last seen** — the most recent call they appeared on
* **Notes and tags** — free-form fields you can fill in
* **Health tracking** — optionally flag a contact for alerts if you haven't had a call with them in a while

Open **People → Contacts** to view, search, and edit contact records. Contacts are scoped to your organization, so the same person appearing across multiple workspaces shows up as a single contact.

## Members

The **People → Members** view shows everyone with organization or workspace access, their roles, and lets you manage workspace assignments without leaving the page. See [Inviting Members](/collaboration/inviting-members) for how to add someone and [Workspace Roles](/collaboration/workspace-roles) for what each role can do.

## Pending invitations

The **People → Invites** view lists everyone who's been invited but hasn't accepted yet, with options to resend or cancel an invitation.

## Navigating People

Use the category selector in **People** to switch between **Contacts**, **Members**, and **Invites** — each renders in the same page without navigating away.
