Every call belongs to a workspace, but you’re not locked into that placement. CallVault has a single Move or Copy dialog that works whether the destination is another workspace in the same organization or a workspace in an entirely different organization.

Move vs. copy

  • Move — removes the call from its current workspace and places it in the destination. If the destination is in another organization, the call is transferred into that org.
  • Copy — adds the call to the destination while leaving the original in place. If the destination is in another organization, this duplicates the call into that org.

Moving or copying a call

1

Select the call(s)

Open a call, or select one or more calls from a list view using the checkboxes.
2

Choose Move or Copy

Select Move/Copy from the menu. Toggle between Move and Copy at the top of the dialog.
3

Choose an organization

The dialog defaults to your current organization. Select a different one from the dropdown if you want to send the call elsewhere — or create a new organization on the spot.
4

Choose a workspace

Pick a workspace within the selected organization, or create a new one without leaving the dialog.
5

Confirm

Click Move or Copy. For multiple calls, a progress bar tracks how many have completed.

Same-organization moves and copies

Moving or copying within the same organization is straightforward — the call (or a duplicate of it) simply changes workspace. Nothing else about the call changes.

Cross-organization moves and copies

When the destination workspace belongs to a different organization, CallVault treats it as a transfer (move) or duplication (copy) across an organizational boundary:
Workspace-specific metadata — folders, local tags, scores — does not travel with the call across organizations. The transcript, recording, AI summary, and participants do.
  • Cross-org move: the call is transferred into the destination organization and removed from the source.
  • Cross-org copy: a duplicate of the call is created in the destination organization. The original stays exactly where it was, in its source organization.
This is useful for agencies or multi-entity operators who need to hand a call off to a client’s organization, or duplicate a call into a shared organization for review, without losing the version already filed in their own workspace.

Creating a destination on the fly

If the workspace (or organization) you need doesn’t exist yet, you don’t need to leave the dialog — both the organization dropdown and the workspace dropdown have a + New option that creates one inline and selects it automatically.
