Contacts vs. members
These are two different kinds of “people” in CallVault, and it’s worth keeping them distinct:Contacts
People who appear as participants on your calls — clients, customers, leads, or anyone else you talk to. Contacts don’t have CallVault accounts; they’re derived automatically from call attendee data.
Members
People with a CallVault account who can log in, view calls, and use the product — your teammates. See Inviting Members.
Contacts
CallVault automatically creates a contact record the first time someone appears as a participant on one of your calls. Each contact tracks:- Name and email
- Type — Client, Customer, Lead, or Other
- Last seen — the most recent call they appeared on
- Notes and tags — free-form fields you can fill in
- Health tracking — optionally flag a contact for alerts if you haven’t had a call with them in a while
