CallVault indexes every word of every transcript in your workspaces. You can search across your entire call library — including calls from months ago — and find the exact conversation you’re looking for in seconds.
Opening search
Press ⌘K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows) from anywhere in the app to open the search bar instantly.
You can also click the Search icon in the left sidebar.
What search covers
Search looks across:
- Transcript content — every spoken word in every call you have access to
- Call titles — the name of the call
- Tags — labels applied to calls
- Participant names — when available from the call source
Searching
Type your query into the search bar. Results appear as you type, ranked by relevance.
Each result shows:
- The call title and date
- The matching excerpt from the transcript with your search term highlighted
- The workspace and folder the call lives in
- The timestamp of the matching moment in the recording — click it to jump there
Filtering results
Narrow your results with filters:

| Workspace | Show results only from a specific workspace |
| Date range | Limit to calls recorded within a time range |
| Tag | Show only calls with a specific tag |
| Duration | Filter by call length (e.g., under 30 min, over 1 hour) |
| Source | Filter by where the call came from (Fathom, Zoom, upload) |
Search tips
Search for a phrase in quotes (e.g., "pricing discussion") to find that exact phrase rather than calls containing those words separately.
- Use short, specific phrases — “competitor” will surface more results than “mentioned a competitor in pricing”
- Search a person’s name to see all calls that mention them
- Search an acronym or product name to find every call where it came up
- Combine a keyword search with a date filter when you know roughly when the conversation happened
Jumping to a moment in a call
When you find the result you’re looking for, click the timestamp shown in the search result. This opens the call and jumps the playback and transcript view directly to that moment.
Search scope
Search only returns results from workspaces you have access to. You won’t see calls from workspaces you haven’t been added to, even if they’re in the same organization.
